If you are over 55 years of age and have suspected or diagnosed age related hearing loss, then please book an appointment with a GP to assess you to determine your eligibility for referral to the direct access hearing aid service.
If you are eligible, you can be referred to the following services:
- Worcester Acute
- Specsavers
- Scrivens
They will assess your hearing and if suitable offer an NHS hearing aid should you require it. If you already wear hearing aids, then they can check that everything is working correctly.
If you do not meet the eligibility requirements for the above, then the GP will assess what treatment you may require and if onward referral to ENT is required.
