Minor Injury Units (MIUs) offer advice and treatment for a variety of injuries including; cuts, grazes, wounds, sprains, minor eye injuries, strains and minor burns.
They cannot treat illnesses at the minor injury units. If you need advice or treatment for an illness please contact the surgery or NHS111.
Accessing a Minor Injury Unit (MIU)
Patients requiring treatment for a minor injury are advised to contact NHS111.
Patients can use the NHS111 online service (if patient is over the age of 5 years) or call NHS111 to speak to a trained adviser who will assess their symptoms and direct them to the most suitable healthcare service for their need. If required, they will book an appointment to attend an MIU for treatment.

- 8am – 8pm, 7 days a week (last appointment 7:30pm)
X-ray department opening hours
- 9am – 5pm, 7 days a week (Closed between 1-2pm)
