Child-Parent Screening for Inherited High Cholesterol
We are taking part in a pilot screening project looking for cases of Familial hypercholesterolaemia (inherited high cholesterol). Parents will be offered to have their children screened when they attend for their 1 year immunisations. By detecting cases early the condition can be treated to prevent cardiovascular disease.
