Inhalers

Inhalers make a large contribution to the NHS’s carbon footprint.

Dry powder inhalers contribute less to global warming than the MDI propellant inhalers and so we will discuss changing where appropriate at your asthma / COPD review.

Additionally, Salamol reliever inhalers have a lower carbon footprint than the other propellant based reliever inhalers. We are making a change to this inhaler as a whole practice. Please let us know at your next inhaler request if you think that this is not appropriate for you.
